Paris, France’s capital, is a major European city and a global center for art, fashion, gastronomy and culture. Its 19th-century cityscape is crisscrossed by wide boulevards and the River Seine. Beyond such landmarks as the Eiffel Tower and the 12th-century, Gothic Notre-Dame cathedral, the city is known for its cafe culture and designer boutiques along the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.

Lyon, the capital city in France’s Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, sits at the junction of the Rhône and Saône rivers. Its center reflects 2,000 years of history from the Roman Amphithéâtre des Trois Gaules, medieval and Renaissance architecture in Vieux (Old) Lyon, to the modern Confluence district on Presqu’île peninsula. Traboules, covered passageways between buildings, connect Vieux Lyon and La Croix-Rousse hill.

Bern, the capital city of Switzerland, is built around a crook in the Aare River. It traces its origins back to the 12th century, with medieval architecture preserved in the Altstadt (Old Town). The Swiss Parliament and diplomats meet in the Neo-Renaissance Bundeshaus (Federal Palace). The Französische Kirche (French Church) and the nearby medieval tower known as the Zytglogge both date to the 13th century.

Lucerne, a compact city in Switzerland known for its preserved medieval architecture, sits amid snowcapped mountains on Lake Lucerne. Its colorful Altstadt (Old Town) is bordered on the north by 870m Museggmauer (Musegg Wall), a 14-century rampart. The covered Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge), built in 1333, links the Aldstadt to the Reuss River’s right bank.

Geneva is a city in Switzerland that lies at the southern tip of expansive Lac Léman (Lake Geneva). Surrounded by the Alps and Jura mountains, the city has views of dramatic Mont Blanc. French influence is widespread, from the language to gastronomy and bohemian districts like Carouge.

Zurich, a global center for banking and finance, lies at the north end of Lake Zurich in northern Switzerland. The picturesque lanes of the central Altstadt (Old Town), on either side of the Limmat River, reflect its pre-medieval history. Waterfront promenades like the Limmatquai follow the river toward the 17th-century Rathaus (town hall).

ITINERARY


TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS:
Night-time transfer to the Montmartre neighbourhood.
Funicular ride (included).
Welcome to Paris! On arrival at the airport, we will be wait- ing to transfer you to the hotel. Our guide will be ready at
the hotel and will give an overview of the tour.
At the end of the evening, we provide transfer to the Montmartre district.
This neighbourhood is known for its painters, art- ists, and its cabarets- Sit down to dinner and enjoy a magi- cal night
You can choose between Indian, Chinese, French and American cuisines.
We will ascend by funicular to the hill and admire the spectacular view of Paris from the top.
Return to hotel.


TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: City tour in Paris.
Boat ride along the Seine.
Climb to the second floor of the Eiffel Tower.
Evening transfer.   
A scenic guided tour to discover the history, main boulevards and the breathtaking monuments of Paris.
We end the visit at the Eiffel Tower area. You will have the opportunity to climb up to the second floor of this remarkable metal monument (ticket admission included).

End your visit with a boat cruise along the River Seine, which divides the north of Paris from the south.

Enjoy a free afternoon to explore as you choose.
At sunset transfer to the “Quartier Latin”, a very picturesque
area of the historic centre were you can enjoy dinner with a wide variety of international cuisines. Return to hotel.

Note: Sometimes queues to climb the Eiffel Tower are long.
For organizational reasons, if deemed appropriate, the climb can be made at a different
moment of the day (or Monday).

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Free time in the City of Light.
We go to the centre of Paris, to the area of the Louvre
Museum. Free time. If you wish we can accompany you
to Benlux, one of the most complete and best-known
perfumeries in Paris. Rest of the day free. It will be offered
for travelers who are interested, an optional excursion to
enjoy in EURODISNEY.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Vineyards in Beaune and
Bourgogne region.
We travel to the centre of France to the Bourgogne
region, famous for its wines. A stop in NOYERS, a small
mediaeval town classified amongst the prettiest places in
France.  After this we will visit BEAUNE in the centre of
the Bourgogne region where its streets full of flowers, its
hospice and its wine museum can be reminders of your trip.
Time for lunch. LYON - Arrival mid-afternoon -, the capital
of Roman Gallia on the banks of the Rhône, its historic
centre has been declared a World Heritage site. Free time.

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Swiss Landscapes. Centre of Geneva   
We have a beautiful stage. We travel to Switzerland. GE- NEVA, arrival. With our guide, go to the Palais des Na- tions (the United Nations headquarters in Europe) and then
to the beautiful “Jardin Anglais” with its flower clock, and
admire the “Jet d’Eau”, the tallest fountain in Europe. Af- ter lunch, we will continue through Switzerland passing the
beautiful Leman and Neuchatel Lakes (note: depending on the number of travellers from Geneva to Zürich,
this trip might be done by train).

TODAY’S HIGHLIGHTS: Boat trip across Zurich Lake. Journey
by train. 
With our guide, we will stroll in the most populated city of
Switzerland, the financial and cultural capital of the coun- try. The city of banks has twice been declared the city with
the best quality of life in the world. After this we will board
a boat for a trip lasting almost two hours on Zurich Lake.
The boat makes brief stops, allowing us to admire the vil- lages on the way. We get off in RAPPERSWIL, a small and
highly picturesque village overlooked by its medieval castle.
We return to Zurich by train, and will see the efficiency and
punctuality of the Swiss Railways. Enjoy an evening in the
historic centre, next to the lake, where you can dine at your
favourite restaurant (Indian, Oriental, Italian, International,
Swiss, etc.).

Switzerland.  
Embark on a scenic trip to BERN, capital city of the
confederation built around a bend in the Aare River, with
its medieval architecture preserved in the Old Town. Time to
take a stroll and breathe in the fresh air. Next, we journey
to France. Enjoy beautiful lake views on our trip to Paris.
We arrive in the evening. Tour ends (or journey continues
depending on rotating schedule of departures).
